Deborah does a great job going through a very difficult book of the Bible. She breaks each of the psalms into easy to consume chunks by looking at the background behind each Psalm. The reflections are great to think about what exactly the Psalm is getting at and why it is relevant for us today. She finishes each section off with a Prayer of the Day bringing together prayer and the contents of the Psalm for the day. – C Brant Review from The Book of Psalms: Part 3 Chapters 61-90

Deborah H. Bateman’s Bible Study Books, I enjoy for her style of introducing the bible first in a manner that I can understand and apply to my daily life. Secondly, she shows the scripture as it appears in the Bible and gives the readers’ questions to reflect on. Thirdly, she ends the lessons with a prayer to help us on our journey of living God’s word. What I really like too, is I can read her daily devotionals on my phone where ever I am. I will start by saying that I am an avid reader of the Bible and being female, like the author, I was curious how she would handle some of the tough verses in the book of 1 Timothy, especially for women. I won’t ruin the study for you by giving the answer here, but I do believe that she gives very thought provoking questions and isn’t afraid to tell women, or anyone else who is reading the Bible the truth. Deborah Bateman has a way with words. One thing I noticed that I thought was interesting was that she starts each chapter with a synopsis of the verses to be read, and then gives you the verses to read from the King James Version, with the questions to follow. I am used to studying the Scriptures first and then hearing the synopsis with questions following, but it did not detract at all, and I think it even clarified the verses further when reading them this way. Excellent Bible study from Deborah Bateman! I look forward to more in the future! – Lisa V. Review from The Book of 1 Timothy: Paul’s First Letter to Timothy.
