Today's Daily Bible Reading is from Matthew 12:1-24. This Scripture is about the Sabbath day and what is lawful or unlawful to do. The Sabbath day in Israel was considered to be the day of rest. They had many rules about what you couldn’t do on the Sabbath. There was no way they could rest for worrying about breaking the laws they had set forth for the Sabbath. Hebrews 4 reminds us it is in Jesus we find rest.
